A tragic road accident near Rogbaray Bridge, Yankasa Hill, in the early hours of Saturday, March 29, 2025, has claimed the lives of 13 people and left four others in critical condition. The deceased include five men, six women, and two young boys.
According to an eyewitness, both vehicles involved in the collision were traveling to Makeni. The eyewitness further reported that a Jeep coming from Makeni and a Taxi heading in the same direction collided, resulting in the fatal crash.
Emergency responders transported the injured survivors to Makeni for urgent medical treatment, while the bodies of the deceased have been taken to Mabenseneh Hospital in Lunsar, Port Loko District. Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
