Suffian Kalokoh scored twice as Bo Rangers beat Mighty Blackpool 3-1 at SLFA Academy on Sunday.

The Elephants win marks the third loss of Mighty Blackpool, a fall condemning them to the bottom of the table.

Kalokoh hit the curtain raiser in the 39th minute before his brace five minutes later, registering his sixth goal in their first five matches of the season. Abu Komeh then added a third for Bo Rangers before Blackpool’s loner came from Samuel Kamara.

Former champions Mighty Blackpool are yet to win a game this season (D2, L3). It is a difficult situation for a team that once commanded games and attracted fans, but now find themselves battling relegation.

Meanwhile, Wusum Stars registered their first win of the season with a 2-1 victory against newcomers Abacha City as their talisman Alimamy Buya Kamara scored both goals.

Kamboi Eagles are still searching for their first win after a disappointing 1-1 draw with Bullom Stars in Kenema. Their next match is on Sunday against Wusum Stars in Makeni.

In Kono, Luawa FC, already 2-0 down and a man down against Diamond Stars, decided to leave the pitch at half-time, citing ‘poor officiating’.

The decision by Luawa FC to abandon the match has been described by some Sierra Leoneans as ‘unsportsmanlike’, with calls for the management to refrain from such behaviour in the future.
