On this International Women’s Day, the President of SLAJ, Ahmed Sahid Nasralla, reaffirms his commitment to gender equality and inclusive leadership within the association.
“As we approach our elections, I encourage our female journalists to step forward and contest for leadership positions. Your voices, skills, and perspectives are essential in shaping the future of our profession,” said Nasralla.
He also emphasized the importance of fairness and equal opportunities for all candidates.
“To our current leadership, I urge us all to ensure a level playing field, fostering fairness and transparency throughout the process. SLAJ remains a platform where every journalist- regardless of gender- can aspire, lead, and thrive.
“Let us uphold our values of democracy and press freedom by supporting and uplifting each other. The door is open, and every capable journalist should feel empowered to walk through it,” he added.
