East End Lions have been officially crowned champions of the 2025 Leone Rock Premier League after receiving their medals and trophy from Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) President Babadi Kamara at a colorful ceremony on Saturday at the Approved School Field in Freetown.
The title had already been secured before their final 1-1 draw with Stars Sports Academy, with the “Killers” finishing top of the table on 69 points.
In his address, President Kamara congratulated the champions and praised all participating clubs for their commitment and sportsmanship. He acknowledged the vital role of sponsors, particularly Leone Rock Metal Group, and applauded the government for its continued support in financing both the league and the national teams.

Kamara also highlighted the success of the SLFA’s partnership with FIFA+, which broadcast the entire season live to international audiences. He assured fans that FIFA+ is here to stay and will only get better next season and beyond.
Breaking new ground, the SLFA president presented East End Lions with a cash prize of Le 500,000, describing it as a demonstration of transparency and accountability in the management of football. His remarks were met with thunderous cheers from jubilant fans, many chanting: “The savior of football has come!”

The event drew senior officials including NSA Executive Director Dr. Emmanuel Saffa Abdulai, Sports Ministry Director Haroun Korji, Premier League Board Chairman Justice Mark Ngegba, SLFA Vice President 1 Ali Badara Tarawallie, and members of the SLFA executive.
As champions, East End Lions will represent Sierra Leone in the CAF Champions League, while runners-up Bhantal FC will compete in the CAF Confederation Cup later in September.
