GLASGOW, SCOTLAND — The Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games have appointed Microplus as the Official Provider of Games Information Systems, ensuring real-time results and live data delivery across all events.
The Italian-based company, which successfully managed competition data at Birmingham 2022, will operate the central results system in Glasgow, supplying instant updates to fans, broadcasters, athletes, and media worldwide.
“Our goal is to make sure every thrilling moment, from photo finishes to record-breaking performances, is delivered in real time to every corner of the world,” a Microplus spokesperson said.
The system will use custom APIs and the Olympic Data Feed (ODF) format to distribute live results through the official Games website and partner platforms. Fans will be able to track every detail of the action, no matter where they are.
“It’s not just about data. It’s about storytelling. Every stat, every split time, every podium finish tells a story, and we are here to help deliver that story accurately and instantly,” the spokesperson added.
With more than 30 years of international experience, Microplus has provided results technology for major multi-sport competitions, including the European Games, Mediterranean Games, FISU University Games, and iconic cycling events such as the Giro d’Italia and Milano–Sanremo.
As Glasgow prepares to welcome athletes and supporters from across the Commonwealth next summer, Microplus will play a central role in shaping the digital experience of the Games, ensuring no moment goes unseen.
