Chief Minister Dr. David Moinina Sengeh has publicly addressed recent homophobic accusations aimed at him, using a candid social media post to reject false claims and call out the tactics used by his political opponents.

“First they called me gay. Then they called me Kadiatu. Their goal was to hurt me; to attack my very personhood,” Dr. Sengeh wrote.

He described how opponents circulated private photos and made disparaging remarks about his mannerisms to undermine his reputation.

But the Chief Minister dismissed these attacks, saying they reveal more about his critics than about him.

“When they say I argue like a woman or laugh like a woman, it’s not me they hurt, it’s themselves, showing they have no real criticism.”

Dr. Sengeh mentioned his achievements and roles beyond the rumors: “I am a leader, activist, designer, scientist, rapper, author, inventor, and recipient of the world’s best Minister award.

“I am happily married with two children. No, I am not gay, but that’s none of anyone’s business.”

He stressed his vision for inclusive leadership in Sierra Leone, as founder of the Radical Inclusion Movement, and encouraged unity under the banner #WeWillDeliver.
