Cricket Sierra Leone (CSL) is poised to organize a two-day training for eighty Physical Health Education (PHE) teachers on cricket entry-level programme and criiio facilitators’ activity in Moyamba District, Southern Region.
The move is part of the ICC Legacy Programme for Africa, whose aim is to train 21,000 teachers by 2027, when Africa will host the ICC T20 Men’s Cricket World Cup.
The training will be delivered by eight cricket development officers, including two ICC coach tutors and two data capture officers.
It is scheduled to begin tomorrow and end on Saturday. It is a supplement from the Cricket 4 Schools programme organized by CSL Board to increase participation through the involvement of school pupils.
These eighty teachers will add to the five hundred already trained to deliver cricket entry-level programmes.
