A Renewed Commitment to Uplift, Empower, and Transform Lives

Freetown, Sierra Leone – JANSUCCESS Network is proud to announce its official rebranding to EmpowerHer+, effective June 16, 2025. This bold new identity reflects the organization’s expanded mission to advance women’s empowerment, promote sustainable development, and foster community resilience across Sierra Leone and beyond.

Since its founding, JANSUCCESS Network has worked tirelessly to support young women through mentorship, education, and leadership development. Now operating as EmpowerHer+, the organization is broadening its scope to include health advocacy, entrepreneurship, environmental education, and psychosocial support — all rooted in a mission to promote dignity, self-reliance, and opportunity for women and girls.

“This evolution is not just about a new name — it represents the growth of our vision,” said Janet Jattu Mumgbay Zizer, Founder of EmpowerHer+. “EmpowerHer+ captures our deeper, more holistic commitment to creating lasting impact and ensuring that no woman or girl is left behind.”

The announcement was made during a heartwarming celebration marking the Day of the African Child, held at the Children’s Redemption Orphanage in Masantigi. Themed “Seeds of Hope,” the event symbolized the organization’s promise to sow and nurture opportunities for future generations.

The orphanage’s founder, Frank John Williams, welcomed Miss Zizer and the EmpowerHer+ team, expressing deep gratitude for their ongoing support.

“This is not the first time they’ve shown us love,” he said. “Today is another testament to their unwavering commitment.”
As a gesture of appreciation, the orphanage presented Miss Zizer with a commemorative frame honoring the organization’s dedication.

The day featured a vibrant lineup of activities: a screening of Sarafina, music, dance competitions, and the main “Seeds of Hope” activity, where children planted symbolic seedlings that will be nurtured and followed up in the coming months. Children received meals, gifts, and clothing — creating an atmosphere of joy, gratitude, and community spirit.

Young residents Ibrahim Jalloh, Moses Serry, and Hawa Alpha expressed heartfelt thanks on behalf of their peers, saying they felt seen, loved, and inspired.

“We’re so happy. We hope EmpowerHer+ will keep coming,” said Hawa, smiling brightly.

As EmpowerHer+, the organization reaffirms its commitment to partnering with communities, volunteers, and change-makers to amplify voices, break barriers, and build a brighter, more inclusive future.
