Joseph Fitzgerald Kamara (JFK) announced on Saturday via Twitter (now X) that he is entering “the race,” leaving his followers speculating about which race he was referring to.

In his post, JFK expressed faith in God and confidence that, together, they “can make it happen for Sierra Leone.” His message was accompanied by images featuring his wife, Lynette Kamara, and supporters rallying behind him.

As former Anti-Corruption Commissioner, JFK later served as Attorney General and Minister of Justice under former President Ernest Bai Koroma.
He was among the contenders for the All People’s Congress (APC) flag bearer position in the 2018 elections but lost to former Foreign Affairs Minister Samura Kamara, who opposition candidate Maada Bio later defeated.
