Hon. Osman Timbo, member of parliament for the main opposition All Peoples Congress (APC) party, has officially resigned from his position as Deputy National Secretary General of the party in a letter dated 12th March 2025 addressed to the party’s National Secretary General.
Timbo announced that his resignation would take effect immediately.
Citing his desire to take new steps in his political journey, Timbo stated that remaining in his position could compromise the integrity of the Secretariat, particularly with the party’s internal elections approaching. He expressed that stepping down at this time would allow him the necessary space to focus on his next political moves.
Timbo expressed deep gratitude to the APC leadership, membership, and supporters, acknowledging their trust and support during his tenure. He emphasized his commitment to the party, affirming that his loyalty remains steadfast as he transitions into a new phase of his political career.
“As I transition into this new phase, my loyalty to the APC remains steadfast, and I will continue to work towards the party’s growth and success,” he stated.

While he did not disclose details about his next political steps, Timbo assured party members of his continued dedication to the APC’s vision of unity and progress.
