Parliament Summons Journalist Melvin Tejan Mansaray

Must Read

Journalist Melvin Tejan Mansaray has received a formal summons from the Clerk of the Parliamentary Committee on Privileges and Ethics inviting him to a hearing on Monday, 24th February, 2025, at the Parliament Building, Tower Hill, Freetown.

Mansaray posted about his invitation to parliament on his Facebook timeline on 17th February 2025, pointing out that the hearing aims to review comments he made during an interview with 98.1 Radio Democracy on January 1, 2025.

This development comes 37 days after the Speaker of Parliament declared Mansaray persona non grata, barring him from entering Parliament over allegations of contempt.

“I will provide updates as the matter unfolds,” he assured.

Expressing gratitude to supporters both locally and internationally, Mansaray stated his commitment to allowing due process to take its course.
