Former Premier League giants Ports Authority continue their downward spiral, suffering a 1-0 home defeat to Diamond Stars on Saturday – their twelfth loss of a disastrous campaign.
Ishmael Jalloh struck early in the 17th minute for the Diamond Boys, a goal that proved enough to seal all three points and lift them to eighth place in the Premier League standings with 21 points.
For Ports Authority, it’s been a season to forget. The Water Front Boys have managed just four wins and sit rock bottom with 12 points – a record that represents the worst season in their 61-year history.
They have conceded 24 goals and scored only 12 as the stats tell a painful story for a once-proud club now teetering on the edge.
Meanwhile, Old Edwardians were held to a 1-1 draw by Freetown City FC. Umaru Fornah gave the May Park boys the lead, but Moses Kamara responded for City Boys to share the spoils.
