Premier League Board Sets Date for Resumption of 2024/2025 Season

Must Read

The Sierra Leone Premier League Board (PLB) has announced that the second phase of the 2024/2025 Premier League season will resume on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.

According to a public notice issued on Sunday, 20th April 2025, the league had been temporarily suspended due to Sierra Leone’s participation in the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament in Egypt. The pause also allowed the PLB to engage with participating clubs and government stakeholders on funding and logistical arrangements for the league.

League action will resume with Week 21 fixtures, in line with the existing schedule. However, fixtures for Weeks 18, 19, and 20, which were disrupted by the break, will be rescheduled. The PLB assured that new dates for these matches will be communicated in due course.

The Board expressed gratitude to clubs, partners, and stakeholders for their continued support and collaboration as efforts continue toward the successful completion of the season.
