The Sierra Leone Football Association (SLFA) has officially announced the details for its highly anticipated 2024 Ordinary Congress.
The Congress is set to take place in Freetown on 1 March 2025 at the prestigious Radisson Blu Hotel, according to a statement signed and issued by nine (9) out of eleven (11) Executive Committee members on 13 January 202.
SLFA said the announcement was made based on Article 26, Paragraph 2 of the SLFA statute, adding that the announcement sets the stage for a pivotal gathering where key decisions and discussions will shape the future of Sierra Leonean football.
The release further encouraged members of the SLFA to exercise their rights to submit candidates for the Independent and Judicial bodies by Article 12, Paragraph G, and Article 25, Paragraph 8 of the SLFA statute.
SLFA ended the announcement by stating that further details, including the formal convocation of the Congress and specific information regarding the venue in Freetown, will be communicated at a later date, as specified under Article 26, Paragraph 4.
