A recent report released by Sierra Leone’s Auditor General highlighted a substantial discrepancy in the financial dealings of the Sierra Leone High Commission in Accra.
The report reveals that the High Commission received US$294,121 as medical allowance. However, only US$132,625 in expenditure returns has been accounted for, leaving an unaccounted balance of US$161,496.
The findings have raised concerns over the High Commission’s financial management practices, prompting calls for further investigation and transparency measures. The Sierra Leone government has yet to comment on the issue.
