National Officers to conduct SLPP Women’s Election Tomorrow

Sierra Leone’s ruling Sierra Leone People’s Party (SLPP) has appointed a team of senior national officers to conduct the upcoming election for its National Women’s Wing, set to take place on June 25 in Kenema.

Acting under Article 14A(5) of the SLPP Constitution adopted in August 2020, the party’s National Chairman delegated full authority to five officials to oversee the election process.

Those selected include Lahai Lawrence Lima-Yannie Jr., National Public Relations Officer; Dr. Robert Chankada, Deputy National Secretary General; Ambassador Martha C. Kanagbo, National Treasurer; Ibrahim Faya Sawaneh, Legal Adviser; and Funkuba Fofanah, Regional Trustee for the North East.

Confirmation of the delegation came in an official notice issued on June 23 from the party’s national headquarters at 15 Wallace Johnson Street, Freetown. The document was signed by National Secretary General Umaru Napoleon Koroma.
