Online betting company Mercury International has unveiled a nationwide promotional campaign offering customers the chance to win a newly constructed house valued at $81,000, in what the company is calling one of its most ambitious marketing efforts to date.

The promotion was officially launched on Wednesday, April 1, at a ceremony held in Aberdeen, Freetown, attended by company executives, brand representatives, and customers.

Speaking at the event, Managing Director and CEO Martin Michael said the initiative underscores Mercury International’s long-standing foothold in Sierra Leone and its broader commitment to creating opportunities for its customer base.

“Our online platform continues to provide avenues for individuals to improve their livelihoods,” Michael said, adding that the promotion is designed to reward active customer participation.

The prize, a house located in John Obey in Freetown’s western area, will be awarded through a raffle draw. The promotional period runs from April 1 through July 20, 2026, with the draw set to take place between July 21 and 23, timed to coincide with the final stages of the FIFA World Cup. The winner is expected to receive the keys on August 3.

Brand Ambassador Drizilik, known formally as Benjamin Manelik George, urged customers to participate, framing the promotion as a chance to convert everyday gaming activity into life-changing rewards.

Under the campaign’s entry structure, participants earn one raffle ticket for every SLL 250 wagered on Vegas games and one ticket for every SLL 50 spent on sports betting, with no cap on the number of entries a customer can accumulate.

The promotion arrives as betting companies across Sierra Leone increasingly turn to digital engagement strategies — and high-value incentives — to attract and retain customers in a rapidly growing and competitive market.
